de-palleting

Electronics Forum | Thu Oct 21 14:06:22 EDT 1999 | Arthur

Hi all I am currently looking for a machine (automated or manual) to cut boards out of a pallet. The pallets are scored on both sides at 30 degrees. If anyone know of a manufactor that makes a machine to cut pallets, it would be most helpful. I am i

Automated Depanel - Tabs or Scores?

Tabs are generally faster to cut through vs a v-scored board. Cutting the V-scored boards with a saw is an option but it is not faster...it just decreases the potential damage that can happen when using a pizza cutter. Preferred method would be to us

I agree with the other posting about V-score but don't forget about a Wand punch if the application is high volume, also IPTE manufactures a cutting system that doesn't require any V-score, it just cuts the boards apart with a diamond wheel.

I would look at your de-paneling process. How are you cutting the boards? This could be inducing mechanical stress on the component; especially if the part is close to the edge of the pcb and perpendicular to it.
